Assisted Living

The support you need

Assisted Living allows you to own your own home, while providing additional support services on site, should they be needed.

What is Assisted Living?

Assisted Living bridges the gap between conventional independent retirement living and a residential care or nursing home. An Assisted Living development gives residents the same sense of freedom as Independent Living, while providing easy access to additional facilities.

Who is it for?

It may suit active, older residents who still want the independence of living in and owning their own home, but with some degree of care and support. It is not a substitute for a residential or nursing home, but an attractive ‘best of both worlds’ option.

Assisted Living developments offer the same basic benefits as Independent Living properties, but with the additional core facilities of:

  • Estate Management Team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, plus the back-up of an Emergency Call Response System
  • Wheelchair friendly building design with access ramps
  • Walk-in, non-slip shower facilities
  • On-site restaurant with service
  • Housekeeping service
  • Other facilities may include: a coffee shop, a hairdressing salon, an exercise and/or therapy room, a library, an internet facility, a television lounge and a hobbies room
  • Domiciliary care available as an optional extra
