Peverel Retirement named an Investor in People

Peverel Retirement has been awarded the prestigious Investors in People accreditation in recognition of its performance in training and developing its 2,000 staff.  

The accreditation makes Peverel Retirement the third division within the Peverel Group to achieve the prestigious accreditation. Most recently Peverel Property Management achieved IIP status in December 2009. 

Keith Edgar, Managing Director of Peverel Retirement, comments: “Training and staff development are extremely important to us at Peverel Retirement, and we are tremendously proud to have been awarded Investors in People status. 

“In recent months we have started a number of new initiatives to help ensure our employee development programme is both relevant and effective. This is particularly important for our 1,300 House Managers who work in the field; they are instrumental to the smooth running of Peverel Retirement developments and fostering the community spirit found at the developments. The IIP accreditation is recognition of this success in training and communicating to this important employee group.”

The initiatives to support the development of House Managers include bi-annual road shows, regular conferences and full briefings outlining performance indicators.
